Sara is the Food Access Coordinator at the Sustainable Food Center. Her childhood outside the United States, primarily in Latin America, inspired her to pursue and finish her Master’s degree in Latin American Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. Her experience abroad and her research on race, gender and food culture in Cuba furthers her commitment to help provide fresh, healthful food access to all communities in Austin.
She is never without her two faithful pups and if you come to our markets you will be sure to see them! She (and her dogs) also love adventures, potlucks and dancing.
